History of Fishing

Fishing was initially a means of survival in ancient times but evolved into a recreational activity by the 17th century. Today, it remains a popular way to connect with nature and escape the busyness of modern life.

Importance of Fishing

For me, the stillness of the water, anticipation of a catch and the time to reflect, creates moments of peace while fishing. It’s not just about catching fish, but about enjoying the process and simplicity of being present in nature. Fishing is also an interest I share with my dad and I am able to share the love of it with him. The memories of catching my first fish and spending quality time with him and family members can never be replaced. Whether its fishing from a boat, kayak or dock, I am able to take in the peacefulness of nature.
