History of Tea

Tea’s history is steeped in culture and tradition, all the back to when it was accidentally discovered in ancient China. It has been a symbol of quietness for over 4,000 years, originating in Asia, spreading to Japan, reaching Europe where it became a sophisticated in British society and to today where it is cherished worldwide. The multitude of different blends and rituals reflect the regional tastes and traditions from tea spreading across the globe. It has been central to rituals of mindfulness and relaxation across many cultures. From the beginning as a medicinal herb to its role today as a daily comfort, tea has remained a symbol of peace and reflection.

Importance of Tea

For me, tea is more than a drink. Its warmth and aroma helps me start my day or relax after a long one. My mom has always had tea at home. I carry many memories of her drinking tea and over time I grew to love drinking tea. Each steaming cup carries me to a quiet place, whether it’s the gentle start to my morning or relaxing at the end of a busy day. The process of brewing the tea, the warmth of the mug in my hands, and the comforting aroma all create a ritual that calms my mind. Something as simple as a cup of tea carries immense meaning, reminding me to slow down and savor the present moment.
